At the entrance of the city of Ioannina, is the wax figures and Greek History museum Pavlos Vrellis.

It is located at the 12km of the Ioannina-Athens national road next to the Ionian street intersection.
It was created by the sculptor and architect Pavlos Vrellis. It contains life-size wax figures which represent the environment of their age and modern history.
There are three thematic units in the museum:
- The era before the Revolution (Kryfo Sholio, the foundation of Filiki Eteria and the torture of Dionysios Skylosofos).
- The year 1821 (with Ali Pashas’s assassination etc).
- Scenes from World War II (the women of Pindos etc).
