After going through the big gate bearing Ali Pashas’s coat of arms, you will be transferred into another era when the castle was the administrative center of Greece.
In the castle the Greek language was developed and taught by some of the most renowned teachers.
Also, some of the most famous warriors learned the art of war. It is also the place where Ali Pashas, who was the symbol of Ottoman empire, lived.
He was famous for his love with Mrs Vassiliki and the killing of Mrs Frosyni, his son’s affair.
